Douglas Firs - Heart of a Mother

"Sportsko srce" is a warm comedy about the collision of two seemingly incompatible worlds when young Maja decides to bring together her fiancé, Pavle - a sophisticated Belgrader - with her father Macura, the charismatic owner of a grill restaurant in Zemun. As Maja tries to "polish" her father for a crucial family lunch, and Pavle struggles to balance his love with the influence of his dominant mother, generational gaps and deeply rooted prejudices begin to surface. Through a series of comic misunderstandings, the story reminds us that honesty and acceptance are the only path toward a shared future, no matter how different our roots may be.
