Paningkamot Pagpadayon ang Paglupad (PPaP) / An Attempt to Not Lose Flight: Segment 2 is Jay Albaos’ PhD in Arts pivot performance. Segment 2 follows Segment 1 where the latter — the site-specific installation/setup — travelled to four Belgian cities to collect the public’s thoughts on leaving Belgium or their respective home countries.

PPaP: Segment 2 is a stand-alone and an open-to-the-public durational piece where people can walk in and out from. Anchored to my ongoing Doctoral candidacy in the Arts at KU Leuven and LUCA School of Arts, Jay’s research looks into notions of migrant precarity, integration rhetorics, performativity, and lived experience.
