ONRUST (be)

(live)
Onrust is the solo project of Belgian self-taught electronic artist Wendy Mulder (1979).

In the past ten years, she's has been successfully exploring analog synthesis, computer drumming and sampling. Self described as ‘Tantric Techno For The Restless’, her music combines old-school industrial influences such as Orphx, Esplendor Geométrico or Cosey Fanni Tutti with a distinct feminine subtlety and attention to detail and a tendency for groovy psychedelica.

TINEKE DE MEYER presents INLAND ISLAND

(Listening session/Release presentation)
Originally conceived as a conceptual and performative installation and last shown at Pilar, Brussels (2025), Inland Island now returns in a purely sonic form.

What once unfolded as an environment, an encounter in space, is here translated into an intimate, audio-only experience, a way of carrying something of that presence into another register.

In its first iteration, a small group of participants entered a dimly lit room and gathered around a round table glowing faintly in the dark. Through headphones, they were addressed by a voice without a body. It carried the trace of something both celestial and otherworldly. As if belonging to a presence that hovers just outside our grasp of time, the voice sought connection, both with each listener and among them, and gave particular attention to their hands, which assumed a central role in the exchange.

Like a fragment of science fiction told in the language of ritual, Inland Island lets the boundaries we draw between you and me, near and far, fiction and real dissolve into something more fluid and porous.

TINEKE DE MEYER (be)

From her background as a writer, Tineke is driven by the limitations of language and interested in the intimacy and proximity of audio and spoken word. Rather than sharing a clear cut story, she aims to invite readers/listeners to experience something in their own bodies.

Her writing has associative structures, and walks the line between poetry, memoir and short story. Connecting the poetic and the everyday, what we see and what we miss, observations and misinterpretations, ancient stories and popular science, melancholy and humor.

She works in theater as a dramaturg and director’s assistant and is currently working on a novella.
