Doel Festival

Doel Festival started as a festival set at a unique location, telling stories and creating awareness about its tumultuous past, highlighting the fact that its not a ghost town and that there is a community driven future to be made in a place that is seemingly lost.

Art became a valuable vehicle through which these stories could be told, noting the past but also imagining a future, a Doel that could be, while offering direct interaction to visitors and creating intimate standstill moments.

We will now bring a program of happenings and not just a musical lineup, as we focus more and more on what the total experience can be when thinking of visiting the village as a whole. Doel Festival 2024, more than anything, is reinterpreting a village fest, a “braderie" as we say in Flemish, where the experience at the foodcourt becomes as important as your experience at a stage.

With an eclectic program to be found throughout the village, each corner turned will reward your sense of discovery, fully utilising Doel’s many alley ways, fields, nooks and crannies.

Expect more interactive instalments, a bustling center court, surprise acts, a bigger engagement from you the visitor and of course, some of the best artists the electronic music scene currently has to offer, over the course of 14 hours of pure village festival fun, on Saturday August 31.
