Join us in welcoming the unforgettable concert by Trio Les Misérables as part of the Destelbergen Classics series! This special concert features world-renowned violinist Mikhail Bezverkhni, celebrated cellist Gulzhaina Kydyrova, and acclaimed pianist Anastasia Kozhushko. Together, they’ll bring you a stunning program of classical masterpieces to end 2025 on a high note.

Smetana's Piano Trio in G minor, Op. 15, is about his intense grief and mourning for the loss of his four-year-old daughter, Bedřiška, who died of scarlet fever in 1855. The work serves as a personal and emotional memorial, with stylistic influences from Schumann and Liszt and incorporating themes that evoke feelings of anguish, nostalgia, and eventually, acceptance of loss.

Anton Arensky's Opus 32 is his Piano Trio No. 1 in D minor, composed in 1894 and dedicated to the memory of the renowned Russian cellist Karl Davidoff. The late-Romantic, four-movement work is known for its lyrical melodies and dramatic contrasts, featuring a prominent elegiac third movement that serves as a tribute to Davidoff, and a lively Scherzo that includes a memorable "Arensky Waltz".
